How to add a External Site List to a Dashboard

A list of external sites within a dashboard can be a very handy tool for users of the product. External Site Lists allow provides a list of the most important websites in one easily accessible location.

When adding items into an External Site List, it is critical to remember that the URL must be prefixed with either 'http://' or 'https://'. There may potentially be an inconsistent experience within either the dashboard or the site if this is incorrect. 

1. Navigate to your chosen dashboard.

2. Click "Edit".

3. Click + to add a new section.

4. Click "External Site List"

5. Give your section a name, i.e. "My External Site List".

6. Click "OK"

7. Click + (Add Item).

8. Give the site a Title and paste in the URL.
NB: URL must contain HTTP/HTTPS i.e. http:// or https://

9. Click "OK"

10. Click "Save" to apply your dashboard changes.

11. Observe your External Site List.

Clicking on the site will open the site in a new browser tab.
