Data Grids have received an update within Certero v8.

Data Grid Overview

  • New filtering options

  • Multi-level filtering

  • Improved data grids

  • Grouping options

New Filtering Options

Filtering within grids has changed and has more options.  There is a dropdown from the new Magnifying Glass icon that allows you to select which operator you want rather than typing the operator alongside the filter value.

Note: treatment of nulls/empty values has changed to match the way Excel filters treat empty cells.  A funnel icon by the column name allows you to select which values to display from the list of values available in that column.

Note: the Context Menu is resizable, allowing you to display data across the screen and also see additional rows for selection below.

Multi-Level Filtering

This new feature allows you to select filters across different tab options within the Data Grids . For example, selecting the filter option on Network column from the context menu on the summary tab:

And then switching to the Hardware tab and using the context menu to filter by Total Memory, you will see the options selected for the filter at the bottom of the screen:

The Multi-Level Filtering can be applied as many times as the data allows.

Note: clicking the reset to defaults button will remove all of the applied filters:

Improved Data Grids

Data Grids have been improved with support for resizing and changing the order of columns

Grouping Options

Grouping has changed and now supports Multi-Level Grouping . For example, it is possible to group computer systems by Network and then by Manufacturer. Grouping is set up with a simple drag of the column name into the filter bar:
