Software Recognition Service: Key Software Event Dates | v8+
Key Windows and Apple Mac software event dates are now available via the standard Certero Management Platform (CMP) user interface to those who subscribe o the Software Recognition Service (SRS).
The following dates are available via the SRS:
Release Date | When the software was made generally available |
End of Support | End of vendor mainstream support for the software and its version. |
Extended Support | Where some vendors offer Extended Support for software after the End of Support, this is the date Extended support ends. Note that not all vendors offer Extended Support for their software. |
These dates are visible within the following datagrids under the Software menu, via the Category tab on each screen:
Windows Software
Software Identification Tags
OS X Applications
The columns all benefit from the standard filtering capabilities of datagrids, so you can search, report, create alerts and create dashboard elements using these key software event date fields.
Updates to these software event dates will be continuous via an SRS subscription. Please contact your Certero Account Manager if you do not have an SRS subscription and would like to make use of this service.
