Resource Schedules

Resource Schedules can be created to define stop and/or start schedules for discrete collections of virtual machine instances, for example to minimize usage costs by shutting down non-critical instances overnight.

Schedules will be shown as tiles on the main screen and can be active or inactive. The tile shows the customizable validity period for the schedule, and the selected time zone for which the start/stop times will be evaluated:

Clicking on a schedule tile opens the schedule properties:

The schedule’s settings can be adjusted using the Actions menu at the top-right, shown above.

The instances in scope of the schedule are listed in the lower section of the schedule properties screen, shown in the following image. Instances can be added to the schedule using the Actions menu above the table. Instances can be removed by selecting them in the table and then using the Actions menu:

Instances can only be in scope of one schedule. Adding an instance to a second schedule will remove it from the first.

Instances in scope of a schedule will show a link to the schedule in resource table of the Resources cost screen:

Specific permissions are required for CerteroX to start and stop virtual machine instances. Refer to Resource Schedule Permissions.
