Data Sources
Data sources connect CerteroX to your cloud providers' cost, inventory, and usage data. Connection methods vary for Azure, AWS, and GCP. The general steps to prepare connectivity in your cloud provider portal(s) is to:
Create an identity with which CerteroX will authenticate.
Provide permissions for the identity to access data.
Configure cost data exports (except for Azure).
All data sources for a single CerteroX Space should ONLY collect cost data for a single billing currency, as per the currency defined for the Space. This will mean, for example, that if you have Azure subscriptions with different billing currencies, the data sources and cloud management for those subscriptions will be in different Spaces, according to the subscriptions and Spaces billing currencies.
If your Data Source(s) are configured correctly, you can examine data ingestion success on the Data Source properties Advanced tab, for example:
Only users with the CerteroX Space Manager role can manage data sources.
