How to Re-direct Users to an Alternative Web Page after Registration

Note. This is only relevant if the Web Based Self-Service Portal is being used for the Passworks registration process.

Passworks has the ability to re-direct users to an alternative Web Page after the registration process. By default the behaviour of the “Finish” button within the Web Based Self-Service portal is to take the user back to the initial page. However, this behaviour can be overridden to re-direct the user to an alternative Web Page.

This feature can be enabled by updating the Registry Editor following the below instructions:

• Navigate to Registry Editor on the AssetStudio Endpoint Server

• Follow the below Key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Certero\Endpoint Server\Settings\17

• Right Click > New > String Value (REG_SZ)

• Value Name : FinishURL

• Value Data : <A_VALID_URL>, e.g. http://www.certero.com

Note . If you have multiple Endpoint Servers, this change will need to be made to all Endpoint servers.
