Tagging
Virtual tags (vtags) are configured based on your business requirements and/or useful cloud tags (ctags) observed in your FOCUS data.
This screen helps you explore, understand & validate the relationships between vtags, FOCUS columns, and ctags; facilitating the remediation of tagging coverage and divergent standards.
Find vtag coverage gaps by choosing the vtag of interest and filtering the vtag Value filter on (blank). For vtags based on ctags, use the FOCUS Tags Text filter to scope the table results on specific cloud tag variations.
The FOCUS Tags column in the table is simply the Tags column in your FOCUS data. The FOCUS Tags Text filter operates on this column.
The Date Range and Resource Last Seen Age filters help you focus on current resources and cloud tagging disposition, noting that cloud tagging can change over time and that FOCUS data captures the state of cloud tags as they were on the day that the costs were incurred.
Resource Last Seen Age is difference in days between “today” and the most recent FOCUS chargeperiodstart timestamp for the resources.
The table can be exported using the mouse-over ellipses (…) for external examination or escalating cloud tag remediation to FinOps Engineer personas.
