Pool Limits & Forecasts

Cost Pools can have a limit assigned as per Pool Properties. A range of reporting functions will notify users when the costs for a pool reaches the limit during the current month or is forecast to reach the limit by the end of the month.
A range of email notifications will alert users (e.g. pool owners) of pool limit status.
The Cost Pools screen shows:
Columns for costs to date, pool limit and the forecast spend for the current month.
A colored indicator on the left-hand side of pool rows show orange where the limit is forecast to be exceeded and red if the month to date spend has exceeded the limit. Parent pools will inherit the colored indicator from child pools and will prioritize showing a red indicator over orange.
The status of pool limits is visible on the Executive Dashboard where you’ll see a tile at the top-left showing a monthly breakdown of total spend:

Interesting elements of this tile (above), are:
The red vertical line shows the limit for the top-level, parent pool.
Dark blue sections show actual spend.
A light blue section shows forecast spend for the current month.
Red sections show actual or forecast spend that breaches the limit of the top-level pool.
Additionally, on the dashboard, this tile at the lower-right shows pools with actual and forecast limit concerns:
