The Allocation page supports monthly financial processes for cost allocation, chargeback, etc., replacing manual approaches such as spreadsheets. For this reason, the page will always be filtered on a single month.

Costs can be grouped by your preferred **Perspective **such as account or subaccount, or by vtags reflecting your projects, environments, applications, etc. Virtual tags (vtags) provide customers with almost infinite power and flexibility to satisfy all allocation scenarios.

The **Currency Source **toggle will switch costs between **FOCUS **and **BASE**. FOCUS shows costs in the original billing currencies. BASE shows costs in your pre-configured base currency, which is a designated currency used for consolidating multi-currency costs.

The Allocation report provides options to define and apply custom internal chargeback mark-up and/or tax percentages.

> ℹ️ This page, by default, filters the FOCUS **chargecategory **column on **Usage**, which you can over-ride this using the **Charge Category** filter.
