This tile at the top of the [Optimization Insights](https://certero.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CXCM/pages/108299180) screen shows high-level committed usage discount (CUD) savings and coverage:

Clicking the link (above) opens the **Rate Optimization Coverage **screen which is useful for tracking your ongoing instance CUD coverage and savings performance. The page consists of a data source and date ranger filter, two daily time-series charts (Usage and OpEx), and a table.

The columns of the **Usage **chart will always be at 100%, because they proportionally break down the daily total usage hours of instances. You can see the percentage of usage that is covered by different CUD instruments e.g. reservations & savings plans. The orange section shows PAYG usage costs, i.e. possible wasted CUD savings opportunities.

The **OpEx **chart is a cost-centric view broken down by CUD instrument type and PAYG costs, with achieved CUD savings optionally layered on top.

The table below the charts shows the chart data in numeric form, broken down by data source.
