Cost allocation is a primary cloud cost management task, and is the means by which you categorize costs to reflect internal accounting requirements such as monthly invoice reconciliation, chargeback, etc.

Costs are allocated to pools using assignment rules. Pools may reflect your business units, cost centers, projects, etc.
