--- title: "What causes the (0x80070520) [ConfigureBindings] Error" canonical: "https://ai-docs.certero.com/space/CUP/119832898/What%20causes%20the%20(0x80070520)%20%5BConfigureBindings%5D%20Error" format: markdown --- --- ## Introduction During a Certero tenant upgrade, after multiple successful tasks there is a problem with the Configure website task. The error “A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated. ((0x80070520) [ConfigureBindings]” is shown. Don’t panic, the upgrade has been successful. Starting the Certero platform and Endpoint services will make the tenant accessible once again. The cause of the error was the manual binding of a SSL certificate to the Assetstudio_<tenant-id> website within Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. The matching of a Certero tenant to an SSL certificate should be done with Certero Provisioning and not separately in IIS. --- ## Instructions - Connect to the Certero Provisioning website (servername:9000). - Choose tenants - Against the appropriate tenant click (actions) and choose Configure. - On the Website tab, under SSL Certificate select the CN (Common Name) of the certificate you want this tenant to use. - Click Save and then Yes to the temporary loss of service warning. - Ensure the task lists complete successfully. N.B. Future tenant upgrade should complete without the error message. --- ## For Awareness Remember the following: | | | | --- | --- | | Cererto Component Website | SSL Certificate | | Provisioning (Certero Provisioning Services) | Manually BIND via IIS | | Platform (AssetStudio_<tenant ID> | Provisioning (as described above) | | Standalone Endpoint Server (Default Web Site – CerteroEndpointServer) | Manually BIND via IIS |
