--- title: "VMware Connector TLS Error" canonical: "https://ai-docs.certero.com/space/CUP/118851968/VMware%20Connector%20TLS%20Error" format: markdown --- # <span style="color: #2077ac">VMware Connector TLS Error </span> After configuring a connector within Certero to a VMware vCenter server, the connector may fail with one or more of the following errors : **ERROR: (viServer) Exception: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel ** You may also see the following error in Internet Explorer while attempting to view the certificate : **"Windows does not have enough information to verify this certificate" ** To resolve this issue please follow the steps below: 1. Login to the Certero Endpoint Server configured for the VMware connector 2. Open a web browser and navigate to the vCenter server URL *https://<vcenterserver> * 3. Accept the certificate warning and proceed to the site 4. On the right hand menu Click 'Download trusted root CA certificates' and click save 5. Unzip the downloaded files and save to the desired location 6. Open an MMC console and add the Certificates Snap-In 7. Click Ok, then select computer account and local computer 8. Expand *Certificates > Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Certificates * 9. Right click 'Certificates' and select *All Tasks > Import * 10. Click Browse and navigate to the certificate download location 11. Import the certificates (excluding the certificate revocation) 12. Open a web browser and navigate to the vCenter server URL *https://<vcenterserver> * 13. The certificate error should no longer appear 14. Re-run the Certero VMware connector 15. The VMware connector should now complete successfully
